Vintage Art Deco No. 1 A Gift Kodak Folding Camera Walter Dorwin Teague. Rare, only 10,000 were ever made for one year between 1930 and 1931. The deco pattern is emblematic of the collective embracement of the Art Deco movement in the United States. The Kodak 1A camera shoots 116 film, which has been discontinued but apparently the readily available 120 film can be converted to use it as an everyday camera.

Walter Dorwin Teague (1883-1960) designed this Art Deco camera in 1930 for the Eastman-Kodak Company in Rochester, New York for the Christmas season. Known as the Kodak "1A Gift" model. This original was manufactured with a cedar box with the beautiful enamel deco pattern repeated, unfortunately this was not found with its box.
This camera came from the private collection of a vintage / antique camera collector in Los Angeles.
This would make a great decorative addition to any eclectic home decor or as an addition to your vintage camera collection.

Camera measures 8.25" long by 3.5" wide by 1.75" deep and weighs 1lb 13oz.
CONDITION
In nice condition with small signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and use. The lens is clear and the bellows have no repairs or visible tears (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
